I *need* an automated network-based backup system, at least for my
home LAN -- I have 6 ARM SBCs that I want to make automated daily

broken, so I need to find a replacement.
I have heard good things about bacula. It is available for Debian 12
(bookworm) and is in testing.
I went to Bacula for 2 new customers.
Bit of a learning curve ... it's designed for big environments.
Big plus: web gui "Bacularis". And the postgres-DB behind all the features.
Bacula CE should also contain a AWS S3 driver (I googled that quickly
... no further expertise).
Side note to Amanda and S3: I worked around that by using Kopia as
"second transporter": write to virtual tapes on disk via Amanda, then
sync those to S3 via Kopia. Not very elegant, but does the trick in some
environments.
