Hi all,

starting from the 2.9.0.71 tag, please use the ChangeLog again for all
major changes.

It is essential to keep track of feature additions and removals, major
commits and changes in the underlying structure (DB changes, etc.) and of
course all fixed bugs.

I sadly lost a bit track on the status of the commit hooks, so somebody
more knowledgeable than me should chime in here and provide the
necessary information, especially if there have been changes from the
previous use of hooks, as documented here:
https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/amarok
/-/blob/master/HACKING/commit-template

https://community.kde.org/Policies/Commit_Policy#Special_keywords_in_GIT_and_SVN_log_messages is probably the canonical source of truth, at least community wide.

It would also be useful to check on the documentation in the HACKING folder
(see above) and correct any outdated material (or ping me to tell me what
should be changed so I can do it).

The same goes for all the other mandatory files like README (very important
for dependencies like MariaDB embedded...*cough*)

I'll try to have a look tonight and adjust some outdated things.

Best regards,
Heiko
