Hi Myriam, thanks for your answer (I am just back from vacation today)
how can I then get the "old" qt4 based version back until amarok on qt5 is more stable?

They should warn that they have removed the Qt 4 based version and tell users that they current 2.9.70 is pre-beta and not stable. Regressions are to be expected, especially for all things in the Context View. When I edit metadata of a song, in the earlier version I could open a dolphin browser on the directory to work with other tools on the mp3 files. since this version, the field is greyed out and I cannot use this option. Anything I need to configure? Or a bug? BR Christian
