Are there any reasons not to introduce greylisting (GLing) functionality in amavisd-new?
The problem here is that for greylisting you will have to send a 4xx SMTP response to the sending MTA when it tries to send the message. In most setups amavisd-new gets the message AFTER it has already been received and accepted from the sending MTA, so it will be too late for greylisting...
So I don't think it will be even possible to do greylisting in amavisd-new.
Oh, quite true, silly me. I forgot two major things: - not everyone is using sendmail with milter - amavis-milter is considered 'helper' to amavisd-new.
