I recently upgraded an existing installation of amavisd-new (w/ Courier
0.50 on Solaris 9) and was preparing for a new setup on FC2 (also with
Courier 0.50)... so I tried using the 2.3.1 release and ran into the
problem I later saw noted in the fix list for 2.3.2-pre1. OK, so I've
been running 2.3.2-pre1 on both systems.
I am noticing, however, that we seem to get what appear to be random
reports of invalid header (for which I have the disposition set to
D_REJECT). But when it happens to me while sending a message (I use
amavisd in allfilters), I very frequently can just hit send again and it
goes through. Is there some kind of known problem still with 2.3.2-pre1?
I'm wondering if I should regress my amavisd version, but I know that
2.3.1 isn't happy.... is 2.3.0 a good candidate? Can't tell from the
release notes, but I may just give it a try.
I'm also willing to spend some time trying to better understand the
particular issue I'm encountering... but not sure how best to go about
isolating it; apart maybe from shoving the log level up and waiting for
it to happen again. :-)
Any suggestions?
