Well, the SA API changed a bit from 2.64 to 3.0.x, so you might want to consider updating amavisd-new to something current (post-2.1.1) first, then update SA. Check a recent RELEASE NOTES of amavisd-new (the current one is linked from the webpage) and do a repeated search for "3.0", it will bring up the relevant points pretty fast. One thing to keep in mind for SA: the internal structure of the bayesian database changed. So if you're using bayes, make sure to read the SA updating procedure, otherwise your bayesian database wont be usable (they show how you can update your database without losing any information).
