Great news! I updated the amavisd-new web page to include a reference
to the project in the contributed section, plus I have added notes
to README.milter and README.protocol.

Note that sendmail milter is a pre-queue content filter (in Postfix terms),
which has its advantages as well as disadvantages. The main disadvantage
is inability to reliably control load on the host, so I would be much
worried trying to push a large load on such a mailer. See my comments
at the beginning of README.sendmail-dual and the document 
README_FILES$/SMTPD_PROXY_README (Pros and cons of before-queue
content filtering) in the Postfix documentation.
