Cha-Ching, we have a winner, it is doing lookups on a null address after all, I'll have a look and see if i can force postfix to send "cleaner" email (at least cleaner in the context of this) however i wont be able to check it for a weekish since the server currently sending the messages is forwarding them to the one in working on, at least until the new hardware arrives and i replace it with a new build cloned from this one :)

Another thought though, will amavisd use both a whitelist has AND an ldap lookup if I define both ?
