Hi, I have amavisd-new-2.3.1... I've configured it to run under user:group exim:exim and i've turned on full debugging. It starts up fine (and the logs show it finds my virus scanner uvscan ok etc).
When a message is routed to 'amavis' through exim, I get this in the syslog (despite turning it off in the amavis config in place of the file log): Jul 6 17:30:33 SM3 amavis(client)[81022]: failed to connect(): Connection refused Jul 6 17:30:33 SM3 amavis(client)[81022]: failing with EX_TEMPFAIL: Permission denied Amavisd spits out lots of content to log file i've specified in the amavis.conf on startup and shutdown but nothing that I can do with 'amavis' adds to the log (nor does it if I'm using the syslog instead). All the ownership on the /var/amavis directories are exim:exim and correct permissions - I just can get any more debugging information out of it to tell me why it's failing to connect.
