Hi, I just did a fresh install of FreeBSD 5.4, with current ports and installed /usr/ports/security/amavisd-new (amavisd-new-2.3.1)
In the /usr/local/etc/amavis.conf, I've increased logging: $log_level = 5; amavisd starts up fine. when I try and issue the command (from the vscan user): echo "test" | amavis [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] the syslog shows: Jul 11 10:59:37 qfa amavis(client)[61914]: failed to connect(): No such file or directory Jul 11 10:59:37 qfa amavis(client)[61914]: failing with EX_TEMPFAIL: Permission denied This also happens when exim tries to send anything to amavis. What is failing to connect to what? How do I find out? This is a followup to my post from last week but I think I included unnecessary complexity in my original post so i'm trying again in hope someone can help. Thanks, Adrian. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the 'Do More With Dual!' webinar happening July 14 at 8am PDT/11am EDT.
