I don't want to start any pro or con MTA flame war (moreover I don't know Sendmail well), but both of these wishes are easy to achieve and set up using a recent Postfix version (included with RHAS4, or use Simon Mudd's more recent srpm). Furthermore you wouldn't need a dual MTA setup.
