I don't know about other distributions, but SuSE's default is 127.0.0.1,
I believe to make it more secure out of the box, as it's installed by
default.

Just useful to know as some less experienced users (such as myself)
struggle with package defaults verus distro changed *defaults* when
checking list archives for help.
