Indeed. There is no need to remove such pre-existing headers
unless one is checking for spam on his own server.
Clients should be ignoring such headers unless the
mail manager tells them otherwise.

there is one tricky case: part of mail is sent to amavisd-new, and part is not. in this case, the headers should be removed (or modified) from the unfiltered messages. not a big deal, but it's cleaner.
