Well if the SA rules are updated doesn't amavisd-new
need to be restarted?
To the best of my knowledge, no. Certainly I got away
without doing so for a couple of years.
amavisd-new loads spamassassin rules once on
startup. If the SA rules change, you must stop/start
amavisd-new to use the new rules. You can either
"amavisd stop ; (wait for it to really stop) ; amavisd
start" or "amavisd reload" which does about the same
thing without you having to guess when Net::Server
really exits.
