I have a small perl script that I use to delete them. The difference between the perl script and those simple rm crontabs is that the perl script will check if the amavisd-new process is still alive, and if it is, it won't delete the directory (the last 5 digits are the PID so it's easy to check if it's alive). You can get the script from: http://www.zesoi.fer.hr/~bzdrnja/amavis-clean You will have to edit your temporary directory at the beginning of the script.
