Hi, all! I want to thank everyone that wrote about out problem, but we finally found the source: another administrator (not me!) set ipfw rules to limit the bandwidth on some occasions, and those rules went berserk after the OS upgrade! Once removed, the machine stopped crawling, stand up and run away! :)
We are now checking why the loopback rules (to "unlimit" the local interface) weren't working. Again, thanks for your kind support, and please excuse us for any trouble. ;) []s! -- ...
