Hello all

Some customers we relay mails for get duplicated mails. Now I try to
track if they get duplicated in our
FreeBSD/sendmail/amavis-milter/amavis-gateway or somewhere at the
sender's side. If I look for the message-ID I get it a couple of times.
The logfile looks strange to me anyway (**thisone** = the sender, not
related to us; **thatone** the final address at our customers' network):

smfi_addheader failed, perhaps milter session timed out

Between those lines there are many others from other mailtransfers
(quite some load at the server...).

In my eyes this looks like the mail got recieved, scanning failed, it
got sent (that's what we want in this case)... but why was it processed
afterwards again? That doesn't sound like a very good idea...

We have got:
- FreeBSD 5.2.1
- amavisd-new-2.2.1_1,1
- clamav-0.88
- p5-Mail-SpamAssassin-2.63_1
- p5-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.2_1
.oO(Uhm... why two of them? Did portupgrade produce a bit of junk??)

Regards
    Peter
