I just 'noticed' I also have perl v5.8.6

# whereis perl
perl: /usr/bin/perl /usr/local/bin/perl /usr/share/man/man1/perl.1.gz
# /usr/bin/perl --version
This is perl, v5.6.1 built for i386-linux

# /usr/local/bin/perl --version
This is perl, v5.8.6 built for i686-linux-thread-multi

can I simply edit top of amavisd to point it at the more recent Perl ?
