Ok, well... now I know what you are talking about. I thought you ment
there were special suggestions for mysql my.cnf files to work with amavis.
I played a lot with the my.cnf settings - especially with connections,
caching... - but nothing helped there... it doesn't look like the
problem is on the mysql server side. I reckon it's somewhere in the
middle since the logfile says:

but what is that strange sth. that is not available?
