Aha, did you mention /usr/sbin/sendmail in your first mail?

It is true that Postfix does not use XFORWARD when there is
nothing to report. There is no HELO information, mail did not
come in via TCP connection so there is no client IP address,
and there is no client host name associated with that (null) address.

You can tell pickup service to use content filter on some other
TCP port, so that you could attach a policy bank (e.g. MYNETS
or some other) to that port if you want it to behave the same
as for mail coming in via SMTP from your networks.
