I should add, as a general note: the fabricated Received header field should be the topmost Received in a file email.txt in a temporary directory (as prepared by a helper program). It should resemble the one that will later be added by sendmail, i.e. it should be syntactically correct (RFC2821) and should contain SMTP client's IP address and HELO argument in 'from' subfield, and a name of this MTA in a 'by' subfield. This information is extracted by SA in order to obtain necessary information about origins of mail, to be able to correctly decide whether certain network tests are to be executed or not. Starting amavisd (2.4.3) as: # amavisd -d received-header,metadata debug-sa would limit SA debugging to relevant log entries.
