I've recently gone through a mail server installation based on RHEL4, too, and I actually deleted the original spamassassin rpm from the system (rpm -ev spamassassin), and then installed the current spamassassin version from the source (as I did with most other prerequisites for spamassassin). My position is that when it comes down to filtering spam, I favor an up to date spam filter with recent features over base system packages which just might get automatic security fixes if any... just my two euro cents :-) Kind regards, Sven -- Linux zion.homelinux.com 2.6.18-1.2849.fc6xen #1 SMP Fri Nov 10 13:56:52 EST 2006 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux 22:25:49 up 2 days, 1:40, 1 user, load average: 0.14, 0.07, 0.09 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
