That page is for different software, the defunct amavis-perl and 
amavisd projects.  (Admittedly, having several very different 
projects with similar names can be confusing).

AFAIK amavisd-new is the only currently maintained amavis* variant, 
and information on amavisd-new can be found at 
http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/.   Information from other amavis* 
projects does not apply to amavisd-new.  Unfortunately, on this and 
other mail lists amavisd-new is often referred to as "amavis" or 
"amavisd" which increases the confusion.
