Does the socket /var/run/clamav/clamd exist? Looks like it doesn't.
The clamd and amavisd must agree on the location of clamd socket.
On the amavisd side the location of this socket is specified in
amavisd.conf in a clamd AV entry:
['ClamAV-clamd',
\&ask_daemon, ["CONTSCAN {}\n", "/var/run/clamav/clamd"],
qr/\bOK$/, qr/\bFOUND$/,
qr/^.*?: (?!Infected Archive)(.*) FOUND$/ ],
Modify it if clamd puts it somewhere else.
And don't miss the following from INSTALL file:
If different UID is preferred for an AV scanner, a solution for
ClamAV is to add user clamav to the amavis group, and then add
AllowSupplementaryGroups to clamd.conf.
