I don't have much experience with DSPAM, but from your log message
it appears the /var/log/dspam/dspam.log is inaccessible to the process.
Follow the basic Unix rules on file ownership and protections.
Remember that amavisd-new runs as user vscan (or amavis), along
with any external programs it spawns, so adjust file access rights
accordingly.
