Hi Guys,

   Im having another problem with clamd 0.90 dying ....

   I'm not using update scripts, tough i do have a script that runs and
grab a clamav-format malware database file (www.malware.com.br).

   When a new definition file is downloaded, the update script issues a
'service clamd reload' command. Several times, i'm having on reload:

Tue Feb 27 16:38:17 2007 -> +++ Started at Tue Feb 27 16:38:17 2007
Tue Feb 27 16:38:17 2007 -> clamd daemon 0.90 (OS: linux-gnu, ARCH:
i386, CPU: i686)
Tue Feb 27 16:38:17 2007 -> Log file size limit disabled.
Tue Feb 27 16:38:17 2007 -> Reading databases from /var/lib/clamav
Tue Feb 27 16:38:43 2007 -> Loaded 96899 signatures.
Tue Feb 27 16:38:43 2007 -> ERROR: Socket file
/var/run/clamav/clamd.sock is in use by another process.
Tue Feb 27 16:38:50 2007 -> Socket file removed.
Tue Feb 27 16:38:50 2007 -> ERROR: Can't unlink the pid file
/var/run/clamav/clamd.pid
Tue Feb 27 16:38:50 2007 -> --- Stopped at Tue Feb 27 16:38:50 2007
[EMAIL PROTECTED] clamav]#

   Please note i'm not script updating clamav definition files. I'm
script updating an alternative definition file with extra malware
definitions.

   Would it be OK if instead of 'reload', i lowered the SelfCheck time
on clamd.conf for, let's say, 5-10 minutes  ?? a SelfCheck would notice
that a definition file was changed ?
