I have never used such an old amavis release, and never seen this syntax. 
AFAIK there is no $spam_tag2_level_ldap config attribute (see 
amavisd.conf-sample for a FULL list of options).

If the LDAP entry has been extended with amavisAccount objectclass AND it 
carries amavisSpamTag2Level attribute, then the value is used.

In other words I think attribute names have been hard-wired into amavisd.
