Looks like the nod32 wasn't working (or wasn't configured) either. Check the amavisd log at startup (or do: amavisd debug) and see that it finds all necessary virus scanners. > our mailserver couldn't deliver mail and today there were over 3400 > mails in the queue. i had to start clamav and restart amavisd-new. > what do i have to do that amavisd-new still works without clamav? As long as there is at least one working AV scanner, either primary or secondary, mail should still be processed. Check your logs.
