I'm not using LDAP for our amavisd lookups, but I believe that
you get what you need by only providing those LDAP attributes
in a database which you actually need (e.g. amavisLocal,
and even that one has a sensible default (README.ldap)).
Lookups on missing attributes are supposed to fall back
to static lookups.
