To add one more protection layer, you could also setup openbsd as 
transparent bridge firewall and runs openbsd spamd to do ip 
filtering/greylisting, it will reduce much crude spam, easy the burden of 
amavisd/spamassassin. 
greylisting delays email though, may not fit in your situation.
