What do you see when you type: perl -MCompress::Zlib -e'print "Found\n"' Either it finds the module, or it shows you the value of the @INC array that tells you where perl is looking for modules. If the latter, check to see if the module (actually Compress/Zlib.pm) is in one of the directories listed in @INC. If the module is found, I'd be running amavisd through strace to find what directories it's looking for Zlib.pm.
