Good morning, First message here, pretty new to mailling lists, but it's kind of hard to find 'support' or forums dedicated to amavis.
So, my problem is about getting notification enabled, to be more accurate, the 'notify_virus_recipient' thing. First recap : Running opensuse 11.0, postfix & amavisd-new-2.6.0. (upgraded the amavisd-new who was installed with opensuse manually). How the machine is configured : It's only filtering viruses. It's not doing any spam treatment. So it's a very basic thing which does : postfix -> amavisd -> uvscan (mcafee antivirus) -> postfix -> mailbox (on lotus notes.) The action that I would like to be taken when a virus is found is that the infected attachement is deleted and a notification is sent to the user saying "[EMAIL PROTECTED] tried to send you a message containing an infected file which was removed, etc etc, depending of the notification template and the variable you want to include in . %t, %anything." The problem is that I do not understand how to enable this notification to be send. I'm pretty confused about what to change into the file "amavisd", what to configure in the amavisd.conf, where to put the template, how to call it (in amavisd -> read_text something.txt ??) etc ... The only 'notification' I managed to get is when I set $final_virus_destiny = D_PASS; But this is a too basic mcafee notification send by uvscan.
