Yes this is normal in a big gateway environment. It's not possible to control lame autoresponders and out of offices. I made a crude script long time ago just for this purpose: http://hege.li/contrib/amavisd-new/autoreply.conf Feel free to modify it. You might want to discard/quarantine directly instead of setting a header etc.
