Thanks Andreas for your quick response!

I guess this is a permissions issue, or is there a config/restriction within
amavisd-milter or amavisd-new?

It's just I think all the permissions are OK- would you please be able to give
me a quick pointer to where I need to looK, or what config items or paths I may
have missed?

I see the mail directories created in the tmp directory when the message passes
through:
 rw-r-----  2 amavis amavis  408 Aug  2 13:20 /var/lib/amavis/tmp/email.txt
drwxr-x---  2 amavis amavis 4096 Aug  2 13:20 /var/lib/amavis/tmp/parts

Amavisd-new:
Tmp:  drwxrwx---  2 amavis amavis 4096 Aug  2 13:20 /var/lib/amavis/tmp
Sock: srwxr-x---  1 amavis amavis    0 Aug  2 11:19 /var/lib/amavis/amavisd.sock
(Mail passing through amavisd-new works correctly)

Amavisd-milter:
Tmp:  drwxrwx---  2 amavis amavis 4096 Aug  2 13:20 /var/lib/amavis/tmp
SYSTEMUSER=amavis
MILTERSOCKET=inet:[email protected]
AMAVISSOCKET=/var/lib/amavis/amavisd.sock

ps aux |grep milter
amavis 18911  [snip]  /usr/sbin/amavisd-milter -s inet:[email protected] -S
/var/lib/amavis/amavisd.sock -w /var/lib/amavis/tmp

ps aux |grep amavis
amavis    3890  [snip] /usr/sbin/amavisd-new (master)  [etc..]

The services were restarted after the configs were changed.

But still the same response:
Aug  2 13:54:19 amavis[18287]: (18287) mangling YES: disclaimer (was:
disclaimer), discl_allowed=1, <[email protected]> -> <[email protected]>

No signature on the outgoing mail. Again, thanks a lot for your time!
