Oleg Nechiporenko created AMBARI-2274:
-----------------------------------------
Summary: MySQL server is installed on the Hive Metastore host even
if the user selects the "existing DB" option
Key: AMBARI-2274
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-2274
Project: Ambari
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Oleg Nechiporenko
Assignee: Oleg Nechiporenko
Fix For: 1.2.5
1. Install cluster and use 'existing oracle' for Hive Metastore OR Install
cluster and use 'existing mysql' for Hive Metastore
2. Ambari installs MySQL
3. MySQL component now present on a (on Hosts > _HiveHost_)
So looks MySQL was installed even though it is unnecessary. We should not
install MySQL for Hive when the user has chosen to use an External database
(such as Oracle or MySQL).
