Siddharth Wagle created AMBARI-2674:
---------------------------------------

Summary: If the LDAP manager password is entered as a blank value
on the first try, it will always be a blank value even though the user picks a
non-blank password afterwards
                 Key: AMBARI-2674
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-2674
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: controller
    Affects Versions: 1.2.5
            Reporter: Siddharth Wagle
            Assignee: Siddharth Wagle
             Fix For: 1.2.5

During ambari-server setup-ldap, if you accidentally hit enter (setting a blank
password) for the manager password, the script rejects it and asks the user to
enter it again. However, this always results in the manager password being
saved as an empty string even though the user typed a non-blank password after
the empty password was rejected.
