Actually I didn’t resolve that issue with editing resolv file. I still get errors on puppet kick. Any common issues with puppet that I could look at? I am still getting connection refused errors. Any help is appreciated.

I am new to Puppet and I was looking at puppet logs and I do see that when I run "puppet agent —test" I get error "Could not request certificate: getaddinfo: Name or service not known". My /etc/hosts file has two nodes ambari09 client01 I did notice when I ran "puppetca" -l client01, it showed client01 but it appended my company's fqdn to it as it reflects the /etc/resolv.conf which I want to disable because this is a VM install between two machines, I don't want to use DNS FQDN. Could my issues be that? I need the machine to be called client01, not client01.companyname.org? Or is it something else altogether?
