Hi,

Amber is an Apache Software Foundation (ASF) incubator project so it
follows ASF meritocracy guidelines to contribute:
http://www.apache.org/foundation/getinvolved.html

Basically the more you help with the project the more responsibility
you will get =)

You can start by contributing patches to the source code to help
making it better. Creating JIRA cases
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/) for Amber project and attaching the
patch to them will be great start.

Here is a link to describe how ASF work:
http://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works.html#meritocracy

Looking forward to your contributions.
