hello, just a composite note with 3 or more purposes.
First- good to see people at the w/e, lots of ideas around.
Perhaps at next talk it might be an idea to change the ratio of discussion a
bit.
instead of people talking at length about their work and then trying
frantically to fit in responses/overview/ etc, what about very short
individual presentationjs and more time in a relaxed way to go into
ramifications.
second- I think tech info exchange is hard to separate from the rest of
discourse, and should be an organic part of the flow.
Thrid- and here is my breach of nettiquette by conflating an ideal online
self with a realtime somatic existence- does anyone know of or have a decent
room going in glasgow ASAP? need to be out of current Dundee accom by
Christmas, and it;s a bit cold to walk the earth like Cain from kung fu.
Fourth and last- I have been puzzled about the assertion that web
interactivity is real, that the web can be seen as a place of genuine
engagement with work . It depends on the work, of course.
I sent a piece to the ambit list about this, but no reply. If anyone would
care to look, an extended version of this is online at the URL below. go to
"teenage airshow" and follow a link or two, then it's there. I hope to
engage in some dialogue and post the responses in a paralleling kind of way.
Regards from Gair
