Mark and anyone else who's interested,

We are currently testing the streaming server, so it's operational but not
yet 'live'. We will need to continue testing for the next few weeks at
least. We are using a Linux box running Icecast (http://www.icecast.org) to
stream mp3 audio streams.

artstream will consist of a number of streaming media projects, Sounds from
Near and Far will be the first and we have issued a call for submissions.
See http://www.mediascot.org for more details.

As previously mentioned on this list, we are open to suggestions for audio
streaming projects and events. Ambiteers are welcome to get in touch with
ideas for projects which use the potentials of live and/or pre-recorded
streaming audio. We've had a few proposals so far, more news as plans
develop.

Cheers

Chris
