For me, lists come and go in importance depending on available time,
current interests, etc.

Fairly consistently over the last 5 years I've been a more-or-less active
subscriber to Rhizome RAW, an unmoderated free for all around net art.
Can't seem to find the time to post there much these days though...

Syndicate, a list dedicated to interchange between East/West Europe was
good while it lasted too. Several Syndicate readers were produced in book
form. Sadly it fractured and imploded early last year. The archive is still
worth a look, maybe as a model for an ambit web presence?

Nettime was and continues to be interesting. Comprises a mix of media and
art theory with socio-economic research and politics. Two forms: moderated
(this has been controversial on occasion) and unmoderated. A lot of long
form texts posted. It's heyday was in the mid-late 1990's. I'm no longer a
subscriber - information overload. The book README!, a Nettime reader was
published in 1998. Archive at:

Just realised I keep talking in the past tense here: either I, or net art
itself must be getting old...
