hi there,
jumping into this one - was interested in the way it was said cross discipline festivals tended to do better - wouldn't it be interesting to have a 'connectivity' festival which showed how the boundaries in all the arts, and indeed between producer and consumer, are being blurred by the web and the changed way of thinking it's imposing on the world? instead of  deciding to have crossdisciplinary festivals between two disciplines , why not have one exploring the notion of cross-disciplinary action itself: between anything and everything that moves out its own domain into another. It would seem to me this would more neatly reflect the way art is moving globally in an innovative way than any festival which simply explored art, or art/science, or whatever.

hope this babble from a newbie was clear..I would also like to ask Chris if he knows where I can find links to websaites of all the festivals he was talking about ..I'm really at the beginning of my career and I am looking for places to showcase, artists to inspire me etc..
thanks
Fee Dickson
