Dear Ambits Hi there - this is the first post from the juneau/projects/ - we're an art duo working with sound and live stuff and video, usually creatively destroying consumer electronic goods.
Our most recent projects is called Ban This, and you can take part [if you'd like to] Ban This, and consists of a 'create your own banned record' kit [a cd of backing tracks, a fanzine and bits and bobs] The idea is to get various people to write their own 'banned' record and sing it along to one of the backing tracks, video themselves doing it and send the video to us and we'll put them all together and exhibit it. The piece is part of our Grizedale Arts residency [ www.grizedale.org ] and as part of it the kits have already been given out to kids in the area - so hopefully we'll get some songs back from them, too. [so you could be appearing alongside the bedroom nu-metalers and closet goths of Cumbria, with luck] Anyway, if you'd like a kit just let us know and we'll send one out to you [no obligation to participate] Or if you know anyone else who might want one, just let us know.
