Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign: Noam Chomsky Talk: "Anti-Semitism, Zionism, and the Palestinians"
Friday 11 October 2002 (8.00pm - 9.00pm) Edinburgh University & Augustine Church (George IV Bridge, Edinburgh) The well-known linguist and critic of American foreign policy, Professor Noam Chomsky, will give a talk on the above topic, followed by an interactive question and answer session. Live video link-up from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to a meeting called in Edinburgh by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign. This important broadcast will aim to map out the intellectual and political basis for a campaign of solidarity with the Palestinian people based on justice and human rights. We urge coalitions of campus groups committed to anti-racism and human rights to make the arrangements to receive this transmission. It will get all your new year's programmes off to a quality start. (Other, non-university sites in large cities might be able to receive simple video transmission: it's only ISDN2 transmission through telephone lines, not CNN-type satellite transmission.) Any other sites across the UK can contact us to receive the live broadcast and join in the debate and discussion.
