Bill Drummond has used various strategies to explore the cultural
landscape, including pop music, writing, and actions.

In 1995 he bought 'A Smell of Sulphur in the Wind' by his favourite
artist, Richard Long, for $20,000. In 1998 he discovered he was bored
with it. After certain preambles and procrastinations he decided to
divvy up the work into 20,000 equal sized bits and sell them at a dollar
a throw.

This process evolved into a book, a performance and an exhibition.
Drummond will be at the CCA/Glasgow with all three, telling his story,
seeking your advice and hoping to sell you a 1/20,000 of the original.
