N55 TALKS AND DISCUSSIONS AT CCA

CCA presents SHOP a new project by the collaborative group N55 in
association with the Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art (NIFCA) and
Network North.   SHOP enables persons to exchange things, without the

We would like to invite you to a series of free talks discussions as
part of N55's project at CCA, which will explore issues of art,
politics, activism and ownership:

Lars Bang Larsen is a critic and curator currently based in Glasgow and
Copenhagen.  He will give an introduction to N55's practice in the
context of the Copenhagen arts scene and talk about their involvement
with urban space and redevelopment in the city.

This series of discussion events aims to construct an open dialogue
between artists and audiences, facilitated by presentations by the
collaborative group N55 and guest speakers.  Guest speakers include:

international artists collective HENRY VIII's WIVES
glasgow based artist CHRIS EVANS
land activist and author ANDY WIGHTMAN
london based artist MARK HOSKING
plus more to be announced...

The discussions will comprise part of N55's project at CCA and relate to
the systems they are building in the spaces, in particular the notion of
exchange in SHOP (www.n55/shop.html <www.n55/shop.html> ).  Themes to be
discussed will include the relationship between art, concentrations of
power, urban space, economic systems, politics and human rights.  For
