The meal at the CCA was reasonably edible, attended by artists from different areas of production, and was enjoyed as an opportunity to share ideas and feelings that we often don't have time to get around to. It's impossible to summarise because different discussions took place between different small groups. In terms of radicalism, it's hard to state what the event was; speaking for myself, I would like to see other events where people can create their own level of discourse around subjects and affinities. One theme which arose in discussions i was having was about hte way that artists go to seminars "discussions" etc and get really dispirited at the lack of genuine dialogue; forty minutes of oration, coffee breaK, another 40 minutes - and then 10 minutes discussuin which people are too preached at to genuinely engage in. A meal is a good way to equalise, to share, to talk. I'd like to do it again, with no preconceptions, in different "public" places. Anyone who'd be interested in facilitating such encounters, please get in touch.

games: who gains? I think there's an interesting debate/discussion on how the worldview of gaming relates to modern warfare, suburban alienation, teenage suicide. Artists I think are very naive to imagine that such a powerful worldview forming product is amenable to "subversion" or critique, especially the self- censored mild cultural critiques which seem to be the most that can be managed at the moment.
