HIGHLAND COUNCIL PUBLIC ART PROJECT

Who: Artists

What: To create new work as part of 40 day residencies for the development of the arts in schools and community buildings in the Highlands, Scotland. Two residency positions exist.

Details: Highland Council invites applications from individuals who would like to develop new work in The Black Isle or in The Ardnamurchan and Morvern Peninsulas as follows:
1.Fortrose Academy & Community Buildings and
2. Ardnamurchan High School & Community Buildings, Ardsgoil Aird nam Murchan

New Media Residencies.

We are interested in film-makers, digital-imaging artists, video artists, installation artists, light artists spending 40 days working in the community. A legacy in terms of an artwork and/or performance will be an outcome of each of these commissions.

Fees: Works budget and living expenses �10,130 each commission.

A number of other commissions exist within this large strategic, pan-Highland project. Running parallel with these two commissions, in the same locations cited above, are other residencies: musician and dancer in residence (shared residency in The Black Isle) and musician in residence (Ardnamurchan and Morvern). There is the potential for collaboration or a dynamic to be created by bringing the different artforms together.
