onedotzero7: digital moving image festival ADVENTURES IN MOVING IMAGE may 2003: Institute of Contemporary Art [ICA], London, UK followed by national and international dates -------------------------------------------------------------------- \"Cannes may have the stars, and the London film festival the bulging war chest of feature presentations. but when film historians look back in years to come they could well wind up ranking onedotzero as the most crucial, groundbreaking festival of the early 21st-century...\" guardian -------------------------------------------------------------------- Approaching it\'s seventh annual edition onedotzero has travelled the world with over 30 dates a year from Berlin - Barcelona, Tokyo - Taipei, Melbourne - Montr�al. The largest independent digital film festival it is internationally recognised as the leading authority in this field, with a reputation for pushing the boundaries of digital cinema and moving image. Exploring the latest innovations in style, technique and storytelling It comprises a range of boundary-breaking programming - from the most stylish motion graphics to the edgiest pop promos, the Coolest Japanese visuals alongside the most visceral computer graphics and new wave of feature films. onedotzero is now looking for original moving image work for onedotzero7 for the following programmes: wavelength: edgy, controversial work from the most adventurous promo directors around to include director\'s cuts, lost promos and previously unseen work. wow + flutter: the best innovative and contemporary motion graphics with an international perspective. We are particularly interested in graphic-led short films that play and subvert forms of narrative, whether explicit or implied. more abstract work is also eligible. preference will be placed on new work created for, or premiering at the festival. j-star: japanese-based work from a diverse range of disciplines such as anime, motion graphics, promos and animation, again work that pushes visual and narrative forms are likely to be chosen. lens flare: Full motion video [FMV], pre-rendered movie sequences and in-game action from computer gaming. particularly keen to see test animations and unseen movies and of course classic, and yet to be released animation sequences from all platforms. DVD New media projects from around the world specially produced or released on DVD for the festival\'s new media section \"as contemporary as it gets.\" - Blueprint --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBMISSION DETAILS onedotzero has an open submissions call policy and *still* no submissions fee for all programmes.
