Sunday Sessions at PROTOACADEMY, Edinburgh 2003

WHO- Protoacademy is a practice based research unit that aims to be a
meeting point somewhere between the academic institution and the public
realm. Protoacademy enables a fluctuating group of artists and others to
come together and experiment.

Protoacademy provides practical and theoretical support for individual
artists through exhibitions, and non-exhibition related events as well as
providing a forum for thinking and rethinking group practices. Participants
include current students and artists in the first years of their career.
They are drawn from art academies across Europe and centred around a base in
Edinburgh.
More information is available from www.protoacademy.org

WHAT- Weekly presentations of new work with accompanying discussion group.
Formed from a desire to encourage opportunities for critical debate around
contemporary art practice, Protoacademy presents a varied weekly programme
of artists who have been invited to use the Protoacademy space to present
new work. Concluding each week, there is the Sunday Session, an opportunity
to view these new projects and participate in an open session of debate.

Each session is free and open to everyone.
